Pagoda was in business for 49 years; the Tijuana Flats parent company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Pagoda at 8617 Baymeadows Road and Tijuana Flats at 9942 Old Baymeadows Road closed over the weekend.

Pagoda closed April 26 after 49 years in business. It opened in 1975 at 223 Ninth Ave. S. in Jacksonville Beach.

“After 49 years of creating a proud legacy at Pagoda, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the immediate closure of our restaurant,” Pagoda said on its website. “This decision is due to changes in our business structure and future plans. Despite this bittersweet moment, we are profoundly grateful for your support and patronage over the years.”
