Raven Transport Holding Inc., a trucking unit of Florida East Coast Railway, sent a notice to city and state officials April 30 saying it is shutting its over-the-road fleet, putting 83 people out of work.
The notice sent under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act said the jobs will be permanently ended within a 14-day period beginning June 30.
The layoffs affect 57 drivers and several other job functions.
