The JEA board of directors could soon have two new members following legislation filed to appoint Helen Albee and Peter Bower.

Both were appointed by Mayor Alvin Brown.

Albee would replace Julian Fant, whose term expired in February. Albee is an attorney with the Henrichsen Siegel firm and primarily practices commercial law, surety law and construction litigation.

Bower would replace Charlie Appleby, who resigned from the board in late September citing a conflict of interest. Bower is the chairman and CEO of Riverplace Capital Management, a local investment advisory firm.

The legislation will be introduced at Tuesday’s City Council meeting and will then be reviewed in the Council’s Rules Committee.
