Adecco Group North America signed a lease Friday for two floors of office space at Riverplace Tower on the Downtown Southbank.

Tyra Tutor, senior vice president of corporate development, said Monday morning that one floor will be used by the global staffing company’s Pontoon division and the other will accommodate “corporate colleagues, including the marketing departments, a few senior leaders and most of the executives.”

Adecco Group North America is moving its corporate headquarters from Melville, N.Y., and adding 185 senior jobs to Jacksonville, where it already employs 354 corporate positions in the suburban Deerwood South office park.

Tutor said there isn’t enough space in Deerwood South to accommodate all the corporate jobs. She said last week the company needed another 30,000 square feet of space.

Most of the new Jacksonville jobs are in accounting and finance, “from bookkeeping to CPAs,” Tutor said, as well as law, human resources, IT, procurement and real estate positions.

City Council approved its portion of $2 million in incentives last week. The city’s portion comprises $407,000, consisting of $222,000, or 20 percent, of the Qualified Target Industry tax refund program, and a $185,000 Countywide Economic Development Fund Grant.

The state pays the rest.

The jobs are posted at adeccocorporatecareers.com.
