• Lenny Curry was unanimously re-elected by the Duval County Republican Executive Committee to serve as chairman of the Duval Republican Party. The vote was held during the committee's Monday meeting. It will be Curry's third two-year term. He also has served as the party's state chairman since September 2011.

• Willis Holcombe was appointed Florida State College at Jacksonville interim president Tuesday by the college's district board of trustees. Holcombe will temporarily replace longtime FSCJ President Steve Wallace, who resigned effective Jan. 1 following scrutiny at the local and state level. Holcombe is the former president of Broward Community College. Wallace will continue to serve in an advisory role until his contract runs out in June 2014. According to a news release, Florida State College at Jacksonville board Chair Gwen Yates will offer Holcombe the position and the board will vote to confirm a contract at its Jan. 8 meeting.

• Gov. Rick Scott appointed Thomas Bryan and Randle "Randy" Shoemaker-Crump to the Florida State College at Jacksonville district board of trustees Monday, a day before the full board met Tuesday. Bryan is a partner with Terra Capital Holdings and Shoemaker-Crump is a senior underwriter at Fidelity National Title Group. Their terms began Monday. Shoemaker-Crump's term ends May 31, 2014. Bryan's term ends May 31, 2015.

• Haskell announced Tuesday it has completed the acquisition of Columbus, Ohio-based H.R. Gray, a firm that provides program management and construction management services primarily to municipal clients in the water industry. Haskell is a Jacksonville-based design-build firm. The company said the acquisition will increase its expertise level.

• The final 2012 First Coast Virtual Job Fair, provided by WorkSource and Florida State College at Jacksonville begins at midnight Monday and continues through 11:59 p.m. Dec. 14. Jobs range from entry-level to management positions and applicants can view and apply for jobs by visiting firstcoastvirtualjobfair.org. The September virtual event had almost 43,000 site visits and attracted 2,131 applicants for 829 posted jobs.

• The last 2012 First Wednesday Art Walk is 5-9 p.m. today Downtown with an "Art Under the Tree" holiday theme and a message to shop local. The Second Annual Holiday Artisan Expo at Perdue Office Interiors and holiday gifts and handmade art at The Art Center are two of the many featured attractions. • The next meeting of the Downtown Investment Authority is 2 p.m. Dec. 12 in the Lynwood Roberts Room at City Hall. It will include a Downtown branding report by authority member Tony Allegretti.

• Correction: Duval County Judge Michelle Kalil was elected in November to replace retired Judge Harold "Bucky" Arnold. A story in Monday's Daily Record incorrectly reported that Gov. Rick Scott would appoint someone to the position.
