Council auditor retires

A City employee for over 30 years, retiring City Council auditor Jimmy Meyer said goodbye Wednesday during a reception held in his honor at City Hall. A sports enthusiast, Meyer left the party with an array of outdoor equipment, including a tennis racket, fishing pole and golf clubs.

“I’ve been with the City for a very long time,” said Meyer, “but it’s been a wonderful experience and I thank you.”
