The search for the first CEO of the Downtown Investment Authority has been trimmed from four candidates to three.

The three finalists are:

• Kevin Hanna, director of real estate development for the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority

• Michael Maher, founding director of the Charleston Civic Design Center

• Aundra Wallace, executive director of the Detroit Land Bank Authority

The authority board will interview the three finalists in a public meeting within the next several weeks.

Jorgenson Consulting conducted the CEO search that attracted more than 61 applicants, which was narrowed to a “short list” of eight candidates. The eight candidates were further narrowed to four before the three were selected based on scores by board members.

The authority board is scheduled to meet 2 p.m. Wednesday, with a 1 p.m. officers’ nominating committee preceding the full board meeting.
