Motorists and pedestrians traveling along Main Street at Duval Street last week may have noticed a new sign for Enterprise Rent-A-Car on the Main Library parking garage.
The office is scheduled to open May 1, said Karlyn Reddish, branch manager.
Enterprise has operated a rental site for years at the Omni Hotel. The location at the hotel will become Enterprise’s satellite office, said Reddish.
“A lot of people don’t know we’re Downtown. We’re kind of tucked in at the Omni,” she said.
In addition to allowing the company to have more vehicles available, being able to store the inventory inside the garage has another advantage, particularly with summer weather on the way.
“The cars will be nice and cool when our customers pick them up,” Reddish said.
