Wok Box targets Florida

RestaurantNews.com reports that Wok Box signed a master agreement to develop 45 stores in Florida in eight years starting with several locations to open within 12 months in the Orlando area.

The site said Wok Box "offers a simple but extensive menu featuring flavors from all over Asia," focusing on noodle dishes, curry, stir fry, and banh mi sandwiches influenced by the flavors of Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, China, Japan, India and Vietnam.

Menu items include noodle, rice and curry boxes and more.

Wok Box Fresh Asian Kitchen is a quick-service brand. It was founded in 2005 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and has more than 60 stores worldwide. Wok Box has restaurants in Oregon and Arizona and plans for more to open this year in Arizona, Texas, Colorado and Florida.

Jacksonville is not listed, but a statewide plan for 45 stores can be expected to include Northeast Florida.

The chain's website is wokbox.us and wokbox.net.
