Debbie Martin has returned to Hemming Plaza along with the warmer weather. Last year, she operated her Buzy B Ice Cream cart in the plaza near the Skyway station, but this year she expanded the operation and moved to the corner of Laura and Monroe streets. This year’s specials include scoops of Blue Bell ice cream for $1 each on Wednesdays. City employees receive a 50-cent discount on their purchase every day except Wednesday. The freezer is full of the traditional vanilla, chocolate and strawberry flavors, plus several others, including butter pecan. Martin also offers discounts for groups and field trips this year.
