Clerk Modified Operations

In preparation for the moving process, operations will be reduced starting on Wednesday, May 16th at 5:00 P.M., and normal

operations will be suspended from Friday, May 18th at 5:00pm until the move is complete on Tuesday, May 29th, 2012.

To facilitate the completion of new case filings prior to the move, if you wish to file a new case or a non-emergency filing before the move is completed, you must do so before Wednesday, May 16th at 5:00 P.M. Starting on Thursday, May 17th, only emergency filings will be accepted, with the constitution of an emergency to be determined by the judiciary. Any filing or business to be conducted on or before Friday, May 18th at 5:00 P.M. should be handled in the appropriate department at the existing Courthouse.

Starting on Monday, May 21st, and continuing until Friday, May 25th, all emergency filings & emergency business should be handled at the Emergency Filings & Operations area located in the Courthouse Annex (next door to the existing Courthouse) at 220 East Bay Street, in the Jury Assembly Area, Room 100.

Jacksonville, Florida. Misdemeanor court dates may also be set at the Traffic Violations Bureau.

The satellite offices, the Traffic Violations Bureau (3470 Beach Boulevard) and Beaches Branch (1543 Atlantic Boulevard, Tradewinds Plaza) will remain open and operating normally with the restriction of emergency-only filings continuing to apply at the Atlantic Beach location. If you have a court hearing at the Courthouse branch adjacent to the Traffic Violations Bureau, these will remain held as scheduled.

In the interest of reducing your time spent waiting in line during this transition, it is suggested wherever possible that any business be conducted before the move, or held until after the move is complete, as the office capacity will be limited during the move process. If you have business that must be conducted during the move, please allow for extra time in handling such business in your schedule.

The Court’s online services will remain in operation for the majority of the moving process, with scheduled downtime on Saturday, May 19th, 2012 from 1:00 P.M. until 12:00 midnight. This scheduled downtime will include the Court & official records searches and our regular public website & services. Non-emergency filings made via the State of Florida ePortal will be accepted, but will NOT be processed until after the move is

completed on Tuesday, May 29th, 2012. If you have emergency filings, it is recommended that you bring them to the attention of the staff in Emergency Filings & Operations area in the Courthouse Annex (220 East Bay Street, in the Jury Assembly Area, Room 100.
