How did you get involved?

I have many connections to those giving their time in the community, so I reached out to those contacts and asked how I could become more involved.

How can someone else get involved?

Our local Bar is so well connected — either through pro bono work, executive board work, or just knowing people in town. Just start asking people in your firm or contacts in the JBA or other Bar association. Or you can always contact JALA or a local charitable/civic organization directly.

What have you learned/achieved through the experience?

That giving our time or resources is the best gift we can give to someone less fortunate.

What was the last book you read or are reading?

“The Orchid Thief” by Susan Orleans
