How did you become involved?

I was raised that it is one's responsibility to give back to their profession and community. After gentle nudging by Robert Harris of Harris Guidi (my former employer), I became involved with The Jacksonville Bar Association. This involvement led to working with JALA and Guardian ad Litem. I have learned once you commit to being involved, finding the time will follow. I promise the rewards of volunteering easily outweigh the sacrifices of time.

How can someone else become involved?

Contact Ray Driver or Susan Sowards at The JBA. Also, contact Kathy Para at JALA. They will point you in the right direction. If interested in the Gator Bowl Committee, directly contact me.

What have you learned/achieved through the experience?

That I am very blessed to have my family and my life. And no matter how much I work or how much I earn in my lifetime, helping others is the biggest honor I can receive.

What was the last book you read or are reading?

"The Key to Rebecca," by Ken Follett.
