Haskell, founder of The Haskell Co., and Birchfield, a lawyer, were honored as community trustees. The Peele family accepted The Frederick H. Schultz Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of Gertrude Hoffman Peele, a civic leader who died July 31 at the age of 81. A record 550 Leadership Jacksonville supporters attended the event, which raises money for the nonprofit’s Youth Leadership Jacksonville and Collegiate Leadership Experience programs.
