My pride in our association grows each month. Faced with the departure of our Executive Officer Corey Deal, who with staff and members continued the daily operations of NEFBA, Corey and the Executive Committee searched diligently for a candidate to fill the position.
I’m pleased to announce that the search was successful, and the candidate was well-known to many of our members. Bill Garrison, past chairman of the Clay Builders Council and active NEFBA member for many years, was our choice from among the highly qualified applicants for the position. Bill will be taking over the reins by mid-August. Read more about Bill’s distinguished career beginning on Page 21 of this issue of Builder News.
Please note that the Gala is a little earlier this year. The Hawaiian luau-themed 2017 Gala is 7-11 p.m., Sept. 15, at the Prime Osborn Convention Center. Get in the spirit of the evening in themed attire to enjoy the music, games, prizes and food. You are invited to let your hair down and share an evening of fun. The Gala is our main fundraiser of the year, and a portion of the proceeds benefit Builders Care.
We are in the middle of the third quarter. It’s already been an eventful year, and I’m looking forward to ending the year strong. Join me in welcoming our new EO, Bill Garrison, and join me in celebrating a successful year at the Gala. See you soon.
