New lawyers welcomed

Kelsey Bledsoe was one of 22 new lawyers sworn in and welcomed to the profession by U.S. District Court Judge Timothy Corrigan at the Bryan Simpson Federal Courthouse Tuesday. Bledsoe was also congratulated by her father, Steve Bledsoe, who works in the State Attorney’s Office. Corrigan pulled no punches in addressing the new class, telling the lawyers that they were entering the profession at a difficult time. He did reassure the group that, despite the current economy, if they were willing to work hard, then opportunities would be available to them.
