The One Spark 2017 Innovation Festival scheduled for October has been postponed because of Hurricane Irma.

One Spark Ventures and Bold Events LLC announced Monday the event has been rescheduled for April 6-7 at EverBank Field, with a kickoff concert April 5 at Daily’s Place amphitheater.

The One Spark venture said in news release that the hurricane prohibited One Spark creators from submitting or completing their applications to participate the event.

“Since Irma has passed, the residents of Northeast Florida have been dealing with power outages, lack of internet services and flooding, and we have received dozens of requests from applicants who have been impacted for extensions and help,” said One Spark Ventures President Chris Carter.

“Right now, we want to be respectful and mindful of our community and the hardships they face by allowing people the time they need to focus on their homes and families first.”

One Spark had been planned at EverBank Field.
