• Brad Glass has been named president of The Auchter Company. Other officers include Tom Butler, executive vice president; Jeff Glass, senior vice president; E.J. “Sonny” Moody, senior vice president; Marv Grieve, senior vice president; Jack Belt, vice president; Harry Elmore, vice president; Dave Auchter, vice president; Daniel Pardue, CFO/secretary/treasurer, and Donna Low, controller.

• As part of a 300-unit expansion plan, Firehouse Subs has closed a deal on 81 new stores in Orlando, Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater. The first restaurant will open in approximately four months in Lake Mary.

• Underwater explorer Dr. Robert Ballard will tour Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital Tuesday before giving a lecture at the Florida Theatre at 7 p.m. Ballard’s underwater adventures include discovering the Titanic, Lusitania and Bismarck shipwrecks and participating in the first manned exploration of the Mid-Ocean Ridge. He is in town as part of the Florida Forum series.

• The FCCJ Artist Series will host a performance of “The Sleeping Beauty” by the Royal Winnipeg Ballet April 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the T-U Center. For ticket information, call 632-3373.
