Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan will give fans a look at his other football team July 26 when his Fulham Football Club and D.C. United play a friendly soccer match at EverBank Field.
The match will be part of preseason preparations for Fulham in advance of the 2014 Barclay’s Premier League season, while it will be a midseason friendly for D.C. United, which plays in Major League Soccer (MLS).
The Jaguars and SMG are hosting the event.
“We’re looking forward to staging this match for fans of both types of football and introducing Fulham not only to Jacksonville, but to fans throughout the state and nation,” Khan said in a news release. “There is great passion in the Jacksonville area for soccer, and this will be a rare opportunity to see our Fulham team play in Jacksonville and against one of the premier professional franchises in American soccer.”
Ticket information and the starting time for the match will be announced later.
