From left, Associated Industries of Florida Senior Vice President of Corporate Development Chris Verlander and Mayor Alvin Brown on Thursday welcomed AIF President and CEO Tom Feeney to Jacksonville. The organization employs 24 independent contractor lobbyists in Tallahassee and met with local business leaders to discuss the upcoming state legislative session. Feeney told the group issues on this year’s agenda include workers’ compensation, tax reform, energy policy, Florida’s ports, transportation and logistics. “We are the voice for business,” he said.
