• Gov. Rick Scott has reappointed Sandra Ramsey to the Early Learning Coalition of Duval Inc. Ramsey is the senior vice president of finance for Acosta Sales & Marketing Co. She is reappointed for a term that began Thursday and ends April 30, 2015.

• Speaking of Acosta Sales & Marketing, it announced Thursday it has completed the acquisition of certain assets of Griffin Strategic Advisors LLC, a comprehensive strategy and operations management consulting firm based in Lake Forest, Ill. Griffin provides consulting and other services to a wide range of business sectors across the U.S. Jacksonville-based Acosta is a full-service sales and marketing agency in the consumer packaged goods industry.

• Bubba Burger has signed on as a sponsor with JTG Daugherty Racing and driver of the No. 47 Toyota Camry Bobby Labonte for the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup season. Bubba Burger is scheduled to have a prominent position as primary sponsor on Labonte’s car during the Pocono 400 at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pa., on June 10 and also during the Geico 400 at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill., on Sept. 16. For the remaining 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup races, Bubba Burger will have placement as an associate sponsor.

• Ben Warner, CEO of Jacksonville Community Council Inc., is scheduled as keynote speaker this morning to the Downtown Council of the JAX Chamber. JCCI recently issued its 27th annual Quality of Life Progress Report.
