• The deadline is drawing near for applications for two lawyer vacancies for the Fourth Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Application must be received by 5:30 p.m. Feb. 26, 2010.

• Attorney Stephanie Harriett has been named Senior Vice President/Senior Trust Officer for US Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management. Harriett was formerly a solo practitioner at the Law Office of Stephanie Harriett LLC.

• Attorneys Stephanie Ross and Vanessa Zamora have joined the Law Office of Maggie Jo Hilliard in Atlantic Beach. Ross is a 2009 graduate of Florida Coastal School of Law and Zamora is formerly of Arnold & New.

• The retirement ceremony for Circuit Court Judge Michael Weatherby is Thursday at 4 p.m. in Courtroom No. 4 at the Duval County Courthouse. A reception will follow in the Aetna lobby from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Parking is available in the garage.

• Applications are being accepted for a vacancy in the Seventh Judicial Circuit due to the pending retirement of Judge John Roger Smith. Deadline for applications is 4 p.m. March 1. The Seventh Circuit includes Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns and Volusia counties. For more information contact Seventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission Chair William Voges at 386-671-4910.
