Downtown’s fall tradition returns
Blue Cross and Blue Shield will be offering free health screenings in its traveling exhibit this weekend at the Fall Home & Patio Show.
Little Giant Ladders has an exhibit at this year’s Fall Home & Patio Show.
The Toy Train Collectors of Greater Jacksonville have set up a layout in the show.
Big D Building Center is displaying windows, doors and siding at the show.
The 23rd edition of Jacksonville’s Fall Home & Patio Show is today-Sunday at the Osborn Center.
An extension of the original spring show, the exhibition of all features for home improvement and enjoyment has established its own place on Downtown’s calendar of annual events. “It has certainly come into its own,” said Hillary Lyons, show manager. Yigit Pura from BRAVO’s “Top Chef: Just Desserts” will share his culinary skills and stories. The former Le Cirque and Four Seasons Las Vegas pastry chef will appear Friday-Sunday on the Publix Apron’s Cooking Stage. This fall’s show also has a “green” theme with JEA’s home energy makeover, where guests can learn ways to save electricity and money. The Toy Train Collectors of Greater Jacksonville have installed an extensive layout on the show floor this year. Display coordinator and local attorney Bud Hayden said it’s a great place for the kids to be entertained. “It’s a riot,” he said. Lyons said she’s expecting possibly record-breaking attendance, based on advance online ticket sales being more than 1,300 percent ahead of last year.
