Spend Small Business Saturday in Downtown Jacksonville
The Adams Class Naval Ship Museum Store at the Landing stocks more military-themed caps than any other retailer in North Florida. The caps and other officially licensed products for all branches of the U.S. armed forces are manufactured locally by Eagle Crest Inc.
Jay Harris, owner of Strght & Nrrw Clothing Boutique at 205 N. Laura St., sells his original designs of street wear.
Sherry Lyford at River City Gourmet Shoppe & Dips2Go sells artisan olive oils and balsamic vinegars. She also blends her own line of spice mixtures for dips and rubs.
River City Gourmet is assembling gift baskets for the holiday season.
AlyCat Gifts at the Landing makes personalized etched and engraved gifts as well as handcrafted jewelry and custom-designed clothing.
Between “Black Friday,” the day after Thanksgiving when retailers usually mark their biggest sales of the year, and “Cyber Monday,” when millions upon millions of gifts are purchased online, there’s “Small Business Saturday.”

It’s the holiday shopping day intended to encourage people to drive past the national retail brands and do business with locally owned and operated companies.
