Five local projects win Auroras

Five Northeast Florida projects received Aurora Awards last month in the annual contest for projects from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and the Eastern Caribbean.

The awards, established in 1979, feature 55 categories, in residential, commercial and remodeling industries. The top winners are Golden Aurora honorees, followed by Grand Aurora and Aurora.

Sisler Johnston Interior Design won two awards, including a Grand Aurora for work at Palms at Ponte Vedra. The four local projects won Aurora Awards.

The program is affiliated with the Florida Home Builders Association and the Southeast Building Conference.
