As we head into fall, we look forward to a new school year, a strong finish in the fourth quarter, maybe a slight cooling of temperatures and NEFBA’s calendar of events.
We will be celebrating together in a big way at this year’s Havana Nights Gala.
In case you didn’t notice, the Gala is in September this year — Sept. 23, to be exact — so we ride the waves of accomplishment, success and growth through the final months of 2016.
Last year’s Gala was the gathering of more than 700 members, family and friends of NEFBA and was by all accounts one of the best Galas ever.
Hold on to your fedoras, because this year’s event promises to outshine that.
We consider the Gala to be the trademark event of the year for NEFBA.
Not only is it a night to celebrate our industry, our fellow members, our opportunities and our community, proceeds from the silent auction benefit Builders Care, NEFBA’s charitable arm.
All the details are on the front page of Builder News this month, but let me recap a few important points.
First and foremost, I would like to thank Bledsoe Baker & Associates with Merrill Lynch, who so generously stepped up as our title Platinum Sponsor this year. Incredible!
Also to date, we have two Gold Sponsors, Wells Fargo and Sherwin Williams. We are grateful for all your help in sponsoring the Gala.
It’s not too late to add your name to the growing list of sponsors for special recognition, perks at the event and the gratification of supporting a good cause.
As in the past years, we have an amazing grand prize: a trip for two to Costa Rica that includes travel, five nights and all expenses included. Wow!
The trip is valued at $5,000, but that doesn’t include the value of blue skies, relaxation and pampering in beautiful Costa Rica.
Who wouldn’t want a chance at that prize? Buy your tickets now from any board member or NEFBA staff.
While the Gala is a time of celebration for our industry and association, it is also the launch of another busy quarter at NEFBA.
Following right on the heels of the Gala is Beast Feast, a unique opportunity to meet and discuss issues with community and elected officials.
Before these two events, be sure to attend Meet the Builder night on Sept. 8, where associate members have face-to-face time with builders.
I know we all will be busy the next few months.
I urge you to make time for these fantastic opportunities to enjoy the fruits of all your hard work and congratulate each other for another great year.
These events represent some of the greatest benefits of your membership. Hope to see you soon and often.
Sincerely,
Chet Skinner
