Anticipating tenants that will bring hundreds of jobs, Gramercy Woods will build a five-level parking garage that will create a net addition of almost 1,900 spaces.

Gramercy Property Trust Inc. of New York, which owns the 90-acre business park at 9000 Southside Blvd., has rebranded it from its former name, the Bank of America office park.

While Bank of America remains the major anchor tenant, it is consolidating. That has opened two buildings for Gramercy to market to other tenants.

Some already have signed. Aetna will move 800 jobs from Downtown to Building 100, where Tax Defense Network also leases space.

SS&C Technologies Holdings Inc. will move 275 jobs to more than 48,000 square feet in Building 700, where it will have room to add another 100 employees.

While there is parking garage space already on the campus, the new one will create more spots for new and existing tenants.

Plans filed with the city show the garage will be built on an existing parking lot. The structure will contain 2,254 spaces and there will be 201 surface spots. Because the construction will remove 604 spaces, the net gain will be 1,869 spots.
