Nathan Moore began his career in sales and marketing in 2007 when he was promoted into a sales management role for a full-service car wash chain in Denver.

Shortly after graduating from the University of Colorado, he moved to Jacksonville and was recruited from his first job by a local restoration company in 2013, which eventually led him to his current career, combining his sales and marketing and construction interests.

Moore comes from a construction family: his father, uncles and brother are in related businesses.

For most of last year, Moore had been working with a friend in buying-renovating-selling (flipping) houses until recently starting his own real estate investment company, Moore Jax Properties.

The Remodelers Council presents a seminar each month with topics related to industry issues, methods, new products and regulations.

The classes, when completed, earn the “Accredited Contractor/Trade-Partner” certificate that can be used in marketing and to establish credibility with customers and clients.

The council also hosts socials throughout the year and has undertaken an annual charity project. Its annual awards dinner will be held in November this year.

Moore’s primary goal for the council this year is to increase membership, which is up 20 percent already. Moore hopes to see 100 members by end of the year.

NEFBA members involved in restorations, renovations or remodeling — and related suppliers and service providers — should consider the benefits of membership in the Remodelers Council.

“Being in the Remodelers Council gives you the opportunity to meet and learn from the well-established business leaders in the field as well as those who are new and up-and-coming,” Moore said.

“Our educational opportunities are a fantastic benefit. Not only do they educate you, but they are beneficial in helping you protect yourself and your company. Furthermore council membership is also a vehicle for giving back to the community and for finding good employees, subcontractors and potential trade partners,” he said.
