Several new agents recently joined real estate firms. They include:

• Patricia Lee, who brings more than 30 years’ experience in accounting, sales and operations. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business education from Bethune-Cookman University and has an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
• Rebecca Schaffer, who worked more than 25 years in corporate jobs for Fortune 500 companies, including Kraft Foods and Office Depot. Before earning her real estate license, she invested in rental properties.

• Carmen Alonso, who moved to Miami in 1980 from her native Puerto Rico. Her charitable work includes helping children with HIV in Africa and native Indians in the Brazilian Amazon.
• Christian Chang, who previously was the top-ranked lottery retailer in Florida over 13 years. He also developed the A+ Club for Kids, which recognized students for good grades, included them on a “Wall of Fame” and gave away prizes, such as bicycles and iPods.
• Cory Cotter, who spent the past decade as a U.S. Army officer, including as executive officer for a deployed division in Korea. He managed multiple projects and supported up to 250 personnel during his career.
• Christa Crapps, who returned to Jacksonville in December with her husband and their son. Her background includes luxury jewelry sales.
• Kelly Crouse, a fourth-generation Florida native and former St. Johns County public school teacher. She brings extensive knowledge of the local school systems and neighborhoods.
• Julia Fattahi, a Jacksonville native who lives in Avondale with her husband and their two daughters.
• Sarah Rothstein, a Savannah, Ga., native who previously was a senior sales executive for Gulf Coast Pharmaceuticals. She has lived in Northeast Florida for four years.
• Lisa Sandifer, who previously was an Etcetera sales consultant.
• Michele Segars, who was a certified gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America in New York and senior merchandiser at Mayor’s Jewelers in Coral Cables. She also worked as the lead sales and leasing agent for a property management company in Ponte Vedra, which worked extensively with the PGA Tour.
• Brian Thurston, whose previous careers include being a regional executive chef and president of Abington Field Services LLC, a mortgage firm.
• Lindsay Viering, who has been selling real estate in her hometown of Ponte Vedra Beach the past nine years. She previously worked for The Agency at Ponte Vedra.
