Providence Homes hits EPA milestone

Providence Homes was recognized for building more than 1,000 homes since 2009 to earn the Energy Star certification.

To earn that designation, the homes must meet guidelines for being energy efficient by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, according to a news release. The homes must undergo a series of inspections, testing and verification to meet those guidelines.

“We remain committed to being the only builder in Northeast Florida to have 100 percent of our homes Energy Star certified,” said Sean Junker, president of Providence Homes. “We believe in building well-designed homes that not only are more energy efficient, but healthier for your family.”

Providence Homes has received the Energy Star certified market leader award annually from the EPA from 2010-16.
