We held our annual meeting of The Jacksonville Bar Association’s committee and section leadership Wednesday at Holland & Knight.

Over 40 chairs and vice-chairs attended and made plans for the upcoming year of activities.

Kathy Para from Jacksonville Area Legal Aid discussed a new initiative to develop pro bono service among the committees and Executive Director Susan Sowards explained the Bar’s new website opportunities.

The association expects to be able to provide much of the CLE programming at jaxbar.org so members who cannot attend events will be able to benefit.

Treasurer Katie Dearing talked about the importance of the committees and sections, which permit member involvement in their practice specialties and also allow members to perform community and civic service.

We have some of the most dynamic and enthusiastic committee leadership in the history of the association and we are looking forward to some very successful programming.
