Janna Thomas is a Jacksonville native who has served the area for more than 24 years in residential real estate sales and home mortgage financing.
As the renovation manager for Bank of England Jacksonville, her philosophy is to educate homebuyers about the great city of Jacksonville, enabling them to live the American dream of homeownership and to help local communities become revitalized through the restoration and renovation of homes throughout Florida.
She has been in the mortgage industry for more than 15 years and has specialized in home renovation loans over the past six years.
Thomas is a member of Northeast Florida Association of Realtors, Northeast Florida Builders Association, Women’s Council of Realtors and Sales and Marketing Council.
She has been a NEFBA member for five years, and as the SMC chair, her goals for the council are reflected in the SMC mission statement: To enlighten, motivate and educate NEFBA members through dynamic programs and networking opportunities so more new homes are sold. To be the most effective resource for selling and marketing new homes in Northeast Florida.
The short list of SMC activities and events includes the monthly breakfasts with locally and nationally recognized experts, SAM Trams and annual events, such as the Laurel Awards, the Parade of Homes and the Realtor-Builder Tradeshow.
When asked to describe the benefits of membership, Thomas said she believes membership provides the best support and business-building opportunities available.
“This is an opportunity to network with real estate professionals, site agents, builders and others in the industry,” she said. “Speakers at our breakfast meetings keep us updated and well-informed. Our socials and mixers help us make and strengthen relationships.
“Education is a top priority and courses can help members obtain certifications and designations,” Thomas continued. “We have a strong communication system for members, plus discounts and special deals. If you are in any way involved in sales and marketing in Northeast Florida, you really need to check us out.”
