'Highlight of our calendar': Havana Nights Gala draws 700 guests for evening of fun

NEFBA’s much-anticipated Havana Nights Gala opened to an eager crowd of more than 700 members, family and friends Friday evening, Sept. 23.

The magic of a night in Havana at the Prime Osborn Convention Center included dinner, casino games, an open bar, silent auction, prizes and much celebration.

Prizes were awarded throughout the evening and as the excitement built, everyone waited for the drawing of the grand prize: a trip for two to Costa Rica.

The lucky winners, Mr. and Mrs. John Orberg, will enjoy an all-expense paid five days at a luxury resort, including airfare.

“The gala is without a doubt the highlight of our calendar,” said NEFBA President Chet Skinner. “And it’s particularly exciting at this time, coming into the last stretch of what has been a very good year.”

“It was a time to celebrate, renew friendships and have a good time with other members,” Skinner said. “Many thanks to the NEFBA staff and members who organized and planned another great gala.”
