SEDA New Homes unveiled a model home in the Flora Parke neighborhood in Fernandina.

The Almeria D is just over 3,050 square feet with 12-foot ceilings in the main living area.

It has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, as well as a student and a 19-by-14 guest suite/bonus room upstairs with its own sitting area, kitchen space and a full bath.

The heart of the home is the gourmet kitchen, with a large island that seats six, 42-inch cabinetry and an alcove with a bar sink and wine chiller.

The kitchen is open to the gathering room, whose back wall has large glass siding doors that open on to the screened lanai.

SEDA recently opened The Retreat at Flora Parke, which is the company’s newest phase in the Flora Parke community on Amelia Concourse at Florida A1A.

There are no CDD fees and low homeowners association dues, according to Linda Semanik of SEDA.

Homes range from 2,152-3,057 square feet with base prices from $263,000-$334,100. There are some homes available for immediate occupancy, Semanik said.

KB Home community likely to open year-end

KB Home’s new community, Southshore at Bannon Lakes, will debut all new home designs.

The company broke ground on new model homes in the neighborhood off Interstate 95 and International Golf Parkway. The homes range from 1,501-3,052 square feet and have up to six bedrooms and four bathrooms.

Amenities will include a swimming pool and kids’ splash area, dog run and Bark Park, fitness center, playground, tennis and sports courts and a residents’ club.

Southshore at Bannon Lakes is expected to open at the end of the year.

Work underway at River Run apartments

LandSouth Construction has begun work on Integra River Run Residences, a $30 million luxury apartment community on the Northside.

The complex is being developed by Integra Land Co. of Winter Park. Completion is scheduled for December 2017.

The community’s 300 apartments are on 17 acres in seven four-story buildings and five carriage houses ranging from 638-1,303 square feet.

The gated community’s amenities include outdoor recreation areas, a pool, lounge area, indoor billiards and gaming, and expansive fitness center with a separate yoga room. It also will offer private garages.

The community is at 14050 Integra Drive, at the corner of Max Leggett Parkway and Owens Road.

Lion Gate One seeking tenants

Construction of a 10,100-square-foot World Golf Village retail center is nearly completed and seeking tenants to lease six units.

The lakefront Lion Gate One retail building is at 533 W. Twincourt Trail, off International Golf Parkway.

Auld & White Constructors has been erecting the building designed by Scott Brady of Ebert Norman Brady Architects since May. It is scheduled to be finished this month.

Lion Gate One owns and manages the property.

The six available suites range from 1,486-2,150 square feet. Current tenants include LifeSounds Hearing Aids, Coldwell Banker, Allstate Insurance and Baptist Primary Care.

BHHS sets record for backpack challenge

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty collected a record 1,011 backpacks filled with school supplies in its 17th annual backpack challenge.

Last year, the company collected what was then a record 733 backpacks for Northeast Florida children.

The backpacks and supplies were donated in Northeast Florida via Dreams Come True, The Bridge of Northeast Florida, Community Connections, Operation New Hope, Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry, Orange Park Junior High and Charles E. Bennett Elementary School.

In St. Augustine, the backpacks were given to Catholic Charities and children in St. Johns County schools.

Florez to design homes in Sea View

Rob Florez was selected to create new home designs for Generation Homes’ customers in Sea View, a new St. Augustine community on Florida A1A South.

Florez has been designing coastal living homes along the East Coast since the 1980s.

He said he gets his inspiration from historic coastal cities, such as St. Augustine, Savannah, Ga., and Charleston, S.C.

He said Generation Homes’ attention to detail, client service and dedication to providing clients with their dream home is what’s most exciting to him about working on designs for Sea View.

Sisler Johnston completes Serena design

Sisler Johnston Interior Design completed work on ICI Homes’ Serena model at Tamaya in the Bella Nika neighborhood of the community off Beach Boulevard.

The Serena has four bedrooms and expansive open spaces that connect the kitchen, dining, entertainment and outdoor living areas.

Judith Sisler Johnston chose a cool neutral color palette, mixing in bursts of emerald green and topaz accents.

The model has greige walls and weathered greige natural wood flooring, while the kitchen showcases charcoal greige shaker-style cabinets, soft greige quartz countertops and a natural backsplash with metallic accents.

Permit sought for Lofts at LaVilla

A Vestcor Inc. affiliate and Summit Contracting Group Inc. applied for a building permit for the five-story, 130-unit Lofts at LaVilla Downtown.

Ground-breaking is expected this month with project completion in fall 2017 for the affordable housing community at 995 Water St.

The permit application shows a $15 million construction project of almost 159,000 square feet. There also will be an open parking garage.

The $23 million project will comprise 11 studios, 56 one-bedroom, 60 two-bedroom and three three-bedroom apartments.

TVC Development Inc. is the developer. Group 4 Design Inc. is the architect.

Rents will range from $635 to $940 a month. Qualifying income levels would be up to $27,300 for one person and up to $38,940 for a family of four.
