On March 30, the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association held a members-only reception at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse honoring the women who have led the organization.

During the reception, JWLA past presidents shared the most memorable moment of their career and a piece of advice.

Past President Susan Haag, the first woman to complete 100 Ironman Triathlons, advised to remain in “perpetual forward motion.” Tonia Yazgi, past president of JWLA and the statewide Florida Association for Women Lawyers, encouraged attendees, “If you believe in something, you need to stand up for that something.” Past President Barbara McGriff, who helped found JWLA in 1982, stated, “never give up, on anything.”
