A month after it was acquired by Dex Media Inc., YP Holdings, publisher of The Real Yellow Pages, is closing its Jacksonville office and eliminating 105 jobs.

YP intends to close its Jacksonville office at 4651 Salisbury Road by Sept. 29, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification notice filed Monday with the state of Florida.

Dallas-based Dex acquired YP Holdings on June 30 and renamed the merged company DexYP.

“Client account volume has declined recently and we are in the process of optimizing our sales force and geographic footprint. Additionally, our office lease in Jacksonville is set to expire this October,” DexYP said Tuesday in an emailed statement.

“In light of these developments, DexYP has made a tentative decision to close its Jacksonville operation,” it said.

A spokeswoman for DexYP said the company will have about 160 employees remaining in Florida, but said the company will not provide further details on its Florida operations.
