What a great beginning to what promises to be an exciting year for the industry and our association.

The installation of officers on Jan. 18 set the tone and served as a call to action.

I am deeply grateful for the support and encouragement I’ve received since being installed as your president and I look forward to working with the executive committee, the board of directors, the members and the staff of our great association.

Our executive committee works primarily behind the scenes and its influence on NEFBA’s success is not always apparent.

The expertise and experience represented in this group is responsible for making measured, well-considered decisions.

The committee also serves as a training ground for NEFBA’s leadership.

This eight-member board includes the president, three vice presidents, the training vice president, secretary/treasurer, the immediate past president and our association’s executive officers, giving continuity and assuring smooth transitions each year.

Each new president has served on the committee in different positions prior to being named president.

I want to acknowledge, too, the contributions of all our members, particularly those who serve on the board of directors and as chairs of our councils and committees. These members are role models for all of us when it comes to commitment and participation.

I look forward to getting to know you better and to finding ways to enhance your membership experience.

Beginning with our Executive Officer Corey Deal, NEFBA’s staff is second to none. Top-notch men and women fill the staff positions with commitment, knowledge, exemplary work ethic and dedication to the members.

Running the day-to-day operations of the state’s largest and the nation’s fifth largest homebuilders association is no small task, and they plan and coordinate education, social, fundraising, awards-presenting events and seasonal celebrations on a weekly basis.

I am grateful to them and place my confidence in them for helping accomplish another successful year.

As we work together this year, please know that your participation, your suggestions and your voice are critical to the growth of the industry and the strengthening of NEFBA.

Help us monitor market conditions, new technologies, proposed legislative changes and all matters of concern to builders and associates.

I look forward to hearing from you and working with you to accomplish our goals.

Sincerely,

Lee Arsenault
