Dear Members,
What an exciting month we’ve had! There have been many high points for our members and the association. Our Apprenticeship Program graduation was among the brightest. As families and friends watched, 32 apprentices received their certificates of completion and began their careers in the construction trades. Our congratulations and best wishes to all of them.
For our builder members, we celebrated another successful NEFBA Parade of Homes. Preparations for the Parade are lengthy and intense, but for builders, it’s all worth it. The public is invited to visit neighborhoods and homes that are the best of the best. Hundreds of potential homebuyers are attracted to the annual spring event. The Parade banquet was a tribute to every builder who entered a home in the Parade.
All our members were busy last month making phone calls, writing letters and finding unique ways to bring more new members into the association. It was a time of friendly competition between seven teams for prizes and bragging rights. The big winner here is the membership. There is strength in numbers.
NEFBA’s goal and mission is to promote the building industry while enhancing the quality of life in the communities where we live and work. It’s a privilege to be part of this association for many reasons. One is the significant contribution we make to Northeast Florida. Another is the importance of the relationships we form within the association and with civic leaders.
We work hard. We celebrate our accomplishments. We help each other. We work with our competitors to offer assistance to eradicate substandard housing. We come together to lobby for the industry on issues pertaining to our business. I hope you are as proud of NEFBA as I am.
Sincerely,
Lee Arsenault
