Staff changes at The Pineapple Corporation

The Pineapple Corporation has promoted Amanda Johnson to director of sales and marketing and hired Casey Conner as director of construction operations (design-build), Steven Mossbrooks as process manager/master scheduler, and Karen Darling as controller.

“We are pleased to welcome Casey, Steven and Karen aboard and extremely proud of Amanda and all she has accomplished,” said Pineapple Corporation President Spencer Calvert. “Their respective experiences are a tremendous asset to The Pineapple Corporation as we continue to grow and expand in Northeast Florida.”

Johnson joined in 2014 as controller and was promoted to marketing manager in 2016 followed by promotion to her current position. She has more than 13 years of experience in the construction industry.

Conner is a licensed general contractor and has managed the construction of more than 1,500 homes. His expertise includes subcontractor management, safety-program procurement, warranty program and overall project management.

Mossbrooks has more than 25 years of experience with project and program management, inspection, scheduling, reporting, forecasting and estimating.

Darling has experience spanning from Fortune 500 companies to small-business management and ownership. Her performance history includes significant achievements in cost control and increasing revenue.

RiverTown Realtor reveal attracts 125

Mattamy Homes RiverTown welcomed more than 125 real estate professionals to its Realtor reveal event in May.

“We are thrilled so many agents could join us at the new RiverTown Welcome Center and we appreciate the positive feedback we received on our six new beautifully decorated model homes and new community additions,” said Jason Sessions, vice president, land acquisition and development, Mattamy Homes.

RiverTown’s model homes showcase new floor plans, ranging in size from 1,700 square feet to more than 3,500 square feet. More than 30 home designs are available at RiverTown and priced from the $240,000s.

The RiverTown Welcome Center is at 90 Lanier St. in Saint Johns.

Shredding event collects 10,000 pounds

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty hosted a shredding event and food drive April 22 at the company’s Mandarin/St. Johns branch office.

The company partnered with First Coast Shredding, collecting more than 10,000 pounds of materials from more than 350 vehicles.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices asked those bringing shredding materials to donate at least one nonperishable food item for the Feeding Northeast Florida food bank. The company also collected 1,268 pounds of food and cash donations, enough to provide 2,835 meals.

“We are thrilled with the results of our shredding event and food drive,” said Christine Scalf, broker/manager of the Mandarin/St. Johns office. “From start to finish, we had a constant stream of traffic and our agents enjoyed unloading our visitors’ shredding materials and food bank items. We received such a positive response from our visitors, too. We look forward to hosting another event like this again in the future.”

More than 200 attend luau at Markland

More than 200 people took part a traditional Hawaiian luau behind the Markland development’s Manor House on April 27.

Food included a tropical tossed salad, Hawaiian chicken, and a roasted pig. Prince Pele’s Polynesian Revue performed with dancers, drummers and fire twirlers.

Cottage Home Company, Arthur Rutenberg Homes, Drees Homes, Riverside Homes, Dream Finders Homes and Providence Homes kept their model homes open for people to tour.

East of Interstate 95 on International Golf Parkway, Markland features homes priced from $280,000 to more than $700,000.

Gregory, Hudson to lead apartment group

The First Coast Apartment Association installed its 2017 board of directors.

The executive committee president is Shannon Gregory WRH Realty; president-elect is April Hudson, Milestone Management; treasurer is Ken Furtaw, WRH Realty; secretary is Dorothy Palmer, Blue Rock Partners; associate vice president is Rick Biermann, REDI Carpet; and immediate past president is Katie Wrenn, Milestone Management.

The association, founded in 1979, serves the apartment industry in Duval, Clay, St. Johns, Flagler, Putnam and Nassau counties.

Its mission is to promote, inform and serve the apartment industry through education, legislation, and professional networking.
