Join fellow NEFBA members as FHBA hosts the 2017 Legislative Conference on March 27-29 in Tallahassee, where members and leaders in Florida residential construction and remodeling industry participate in legislative training, engage with elected officials and meet to address organizational agendas.
Legislators and Capitol observers use this event as a barometer of FHBA member intensity regarding our legislative initiatives.
Last year, the group from NEFBA visited with local legislators advocating for a variety of bills, including HB 535, which would update the Florida Building Code, and SB 660, which would allow local governments to impose a documents tax in lieu of imposing an impact fee.
A strong push was also made for the full funding of the Sadowski Affordable Housing trust fund, which supports the State Housing Initiatives Partnership Program and the State Apartment Incentive Loan Program.
