Golf in February is one advantage of living and working in the Sunshine State.

The St Johns Builders Council Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Feb. 13 at the Marsh Creek Country Club is a prime example.

This popular event was sold out and was a busy day for golfers, visitors and organizers.

At the end of the day, everyone was a winner — spending the day outdoors, enjoying lunch, friendly competition and networking. Some were skillful (or lucky) enough to take home cash prizes, too.

The winners were:

• First-place team: Greene Quality Construction

• Second-place team: Franson, Isley & Rendzio

• Longest drive, men: Jeff Knauff of Straight Shooters

• Longest drive, women: Katherine Povek of Sherwin Williams

The charity tournament benefitted the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Fund

The tournament’s banner sponsor was 84 Lumber. Fidelity Bank and BMC were gold sponsors.

SJBC also thanks Greene’s and other individual prize sponsors: Harbor Community Bank, Bates & Hewett, LP Building Products (Mark Rose), Franson, Isley & Rendzio, FBC Mortgage, Cornerstone Home Lending, Mattamy Homes, VyStar Credit Union, Ready Seal, Mercedes-Benz of Jacksonville, Mobile Mini, D and D Garage Doors, Moses Creek Realty and Providence Homes.
