Mathis helps establish Inn of Court

Sandra Mathis, a Rogers Towers shareholder who specializes in family law, is a master and member of the Executive Committee of the Florida Family Law American Inn of Court. She recently orchestrated a mentoring mission trip to Louisville, Ky. Along with Duval County Judge Gary Flower and Florida Family Law Inn of Court President Ned Price, Mathis helped establish a Family Law Inn of Court in Louisville.

She graduated from the University of Louisville undergrad and law school and worked for the Louisville law firm, Greenebaum, Doll & McDonald until 1993 when she moved to Florida.

Before returning to Jacksonville, Mathis was recognized for her connections and service to the Bluegrass State by being made a member of The Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonels, the highest honor bestowed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Shedlarski VP of paralegals group

Sarah Shedlarski, a registered paralegal at Spohrer & Dodd, has been appointed second vice president of the board of directors for the 2017-18 First Coast Chapter of the Paralegal Association of Florida. She served as secretary on the 2015-16 and 2016-17 board of directors for the organization.

Shedlarski is a graduate of the University of Maine, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in mass communications and has been in the legal profession since 2008. She is the paralegal to attorney Keith Maynard in the areas of aviation law, wrongful death, products and premises liability, transportation accidents and insurance law. Shedlarski also has experience in family, criminal and bankruptcy law.

The Paralegal Association of Florida was formed in 1976 and has about 1,000 members statewide. The organization meets monthly and invites speakers that offer CLE credits to fulfill requirements for The Florida Bar, National Association of Legal Assistants and other professional organizations.
