The Career Academy Awards April 17 showcased programs across the St. Johns County School District. Scholarships were awarded by business and community partners at the Fullerwood Center in St. Augustine.
“The St. Johns Builders Council was proud to award two scholarships this year,” Leona Brown, director of the council, said. “We support the community in many ways, and supporting young people as they continue their education is one of the most important.”
The two recipients were Reaghin Davenport and Casey Ray.
Davenport is in the Academy of Engineering and Environmental Science at Creekside High School. She plans to attend University of North Florida and major in civil engineering.
Ray is in the Academy of Architecture and Building Sciences at Pedro Menendez High School. He plans to attend the University of North Florida and major in construction and business.
Past SJBC Chair Bill Lazar presented the scholarship checks to Davenport and Ray.
