Gov. Rick Scott cut the ribbon Tuesday at Anheuser-Busch’s expanded aluminum bottle manufacturing facility on Jacksonville’s Westside. Anheuser-Busch says the plant at 1100 Ellis Road N. will create 75 jobs along with $175 million in capital investment. In exchange for building the facility, Anheuser-Busch was awarded $12 million in city and $2.8 million in state incentives. It also was one of the last facilities to receive a Quick Action Closing Fund from the state. That program is no longer funded in the state budget. Anheuser-Busch also announced it will invest $11 million to increase its ability to fill the bottles and upgrade for energy efficiency.
