New JBA leadership sworn in

At a ceremony Tuesday evening at the Jessie Ball duPont Center, Katie Dearing was sworn in as president-elect and Tad Delegal was sworn in as president of The Jacksonville Bar Association for 2017-18 by Circuit Judge James Daniel, right. The board of governors also was sworn in, including Michael Bateh, Brian Coughlin, Blane McCarthy and Asghar Syed. New board member Christian George was unable to attend the ceremony. In the coming year, Delegal said he intends to foster more diversity in the organization and work on “revitalizing the sections,” specialty groups that focus on a specific area of law.
