Artisan Homes buys land, plans townhomes

Company intends two develop 11 duplex townhome buildings.

Artisan Homes of Jacksonville closed on the purchase of 17 acres at  96131 Tuscany Way in Fernandina Beach on Sept. 21. Artisan paid $1 million for the property. Colliers International represented the seller, Tuscany Preserve LLC.

Previously approved for 36 condominiums, Artisan Homes intends two develop 11 duplex townhome buildings for a total of 22 units.

The development will be called Marsh View. Infrastructure is planned for completion by May 2018 and a model home complete in June or July.

Home sizes will start at 2,500 square feet and prices begin at $490,000.
