SEBC, the premier trade event of the region, has drawn building industry professionals for nearly 40 years.
SEBC provides the latest in residential and commercial construction products and services, where thousands within the building industry attended July 27-28 in Orlando. Attendees took advantage of education from national research experts, connecting with hundreds of internationally recognized exhibitors, and networking with business partners and colleagues from the Southeast. The broad categories of workshops and seminars covered building codes, building and design, sales and marketing. Continuing education units were available for select courses.
More than 300 companies exhibited at the 2017 event covering more than 100,000 square feet with building products and services from leading manufacturers and suppliers.
Included in its program of keynote speakers, seminars, networking opportunities and industry briefings, the Florida Home Builders Association Sales & Marketing Council used the occasion to present Excel Awards to deserving professionals from across the state.
From among the awards given, NEFBA’s Sales and Marketing Council once again won the gold award as the best SMC in the state. In addition, in the Individual Achievement category, Rita Williams (Merchandising Plus) won the John P. Hall award, and Cole Slate (Cole Slate LLC) was named Sales Person of the Year.
“Our council experienced tremendous success throughout the year,” said Carrie Budds, the council’s 2017 chair. “Much credit belongs to the momentum and strong leadership of past chairs and our members, who are enthusiastic, creative and eager to make us the biggest and best in the nation.”
The council achieved success by focusing on membership, improved communications, charitable activities and expanded programming.
