The St. Johns River Water Management District is reviewing plans for the $55 million St. Vincent’s HealthCare riverfront heart and vascular pavilion.
Plans show the four-story project at King Street and fronting the St. Johns River. Plans indicate a 25,000-square-foot footprint. Spokesman Kyle Sieg said the pavilion is designed at 82,863 square feet.
It will be developed where Seton Hall was demolished.
St. Vincent’s, part of Ascension Jacksonville, announced in November it would break ground this summer with a projected opening in fall 2019.
Gresham Smith and Partners is the architect and Goodson Nevin and Associates is the consulting engineer.
St. Vincent’s Riverside is at 1 Shircliff Way, off Riverside Avenue.
The pavilion will include 30 medical and surgical rooms and 30 intensive care rooms. It primarily will be used for heart and vascular needs, including two nursing units to care for patients who undergo open-heart surgeries and other cardiovascular procedures.
Another former Kmart site is marketed for redevelopment.
Prime Realty is offering the 11.5-acre site at 4645 Blanding Blvd., including the closed 107,000-square-foot discount store, for sale at $4.79 million or for lease.
The Kmart was built in 1969 and closed in 2013.
Prime Realty says in its offering that it is a “great site with a lot of potential to include a car dealership, warehouse user, self-storage user, big box retail user or a re-development opportunity.”
Prime Realty also notes there are 22 car dealerships within 2.5 miles of the subject property.
The Kmart site at Beach and University boulevards is targeted for redevelopment led by principals of NAI Hallmark.
• Marco’s Pizza intends to build-out in the Bay95 retail center at 8738 Baymeadows Road E. Ticon Commercial Inc. is the contractor for the $175,000 project for 1,518 square feet of space.
• Waffle House intends to develop a 1,726-square-foot restaurant on an acre at 2688 Firestone Road at a construction cost of $400,000.
• Zaxby’s plans to open a 70-seat, 3,652-square-foot restaurant on almost an acre at Harvest Lane and Florida 16 in St. Augustine. The site is east of Interstate 95.
• Floor & Décor is taking steps toward its new Jacksonville store. The city issued a Concurrency Reservation Certificate and a Conditional Capacity Availability Statement for the 74,179-square-foot store on 6 acres along Brightman Boulevard.
England-Thims & Miller Inc. is the project engineer. The project is designed south of Topgolf and west of Interstate 295.
• O’Reilly Auto Parts intends to build a 7,225-square-foot store on about 1.1 acres along North Main Street next to CVS.
• Dogtopia will build-out a 3,960-square-foot building at 1075 Hendricks Ave.
The city approved the building permit last week for the $463,829 project.
Emerald C’s Development Inc. is the contractor. Dogtopia offers dog day care, boarding and spa services.
• Gate Express Carwash will build at Philips Highway and Emerson Street.
The city issued permits Monday for a 4,375-square-foot car wash, pay station and dumpster enclosure at 3120 Emerson St. Auld & White Constructors LLC is the contractor for the more than $1.61 million project.
• XL Soccer is nearing construction on almost 7.9 acres at 7311 Baymeadows Way W.
The 51,000-square-foot soccer complex building is under development by XL Soccer World Jax LLC. The engineer is Dunn & Associates Inc.
The city issued a Concurrency Reservation Certificate and a Conditional Capacity Availability Statement for the project.
Plans show the building and an adjacent future 30,000-square-foot area for playing fields.
