River & Post Managing Partner Jeffrey McCusker said Monday that Abraham starts in four weeks and Fristche has been on board for five weeks.

Abraham owned and operated the popular Two Doors Down restaurant nearby at Park and Forest streets in Brooklyn for six years.

He closed it in November 2015 when Gate Petroleum Co. decided to buy the site for development of a Gate gas station and convenience store.

Fritsche’s experience includes previous ownership of Pastiche Restaurant & Catering near Avondale. He succeeds Elizabeth Arana, who was the initial executive chef.

McCusker said Abraham will manage the front of the house and visit diners “table to table.”

“We are just bringing him on board because of who he is,” McCusker said.

River & Post, which opened in November, will start offering Sunday brunch from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. this weekend and might add Saturday brunch, McCusker said.

He said brunch items will be added to its Sunday lunch menu. Sunday dinner hours follow 4-10 p.m.

Also at its rooftop bar, River & Post will start a Bloody Mary bar at 11 a.m. Sunday to include mimosas and sangria.

The restaurant occupies the ground floor at 1000 Riverside Ave. and the ninth floor rooftop lounge offers views of the St. Johns River and Downtown’s Northbank and Southbank.
