Culhane’s Irish Pub bought the former Tilted Kilt building in Tinseltown with the intent to open its second location by year-end. Culhane’s, at 967 Atlantic Blvd. in Atlantic Beach, paid $2.26 million for the 8,487-square-foot restaurant at 9720 Deer Lake Court.

It plans to start remodeling the space in 30 to 60 days.

Jason Ryals and Katherine Goodwin of Colliers International Northeast Florida represented the seller, RibKib LLC of Miami Beach.

Strategic Sites-Clifford Commercial represented the buyer. The sale closed Aug. 2.

Hyatt renovating for SHOR Tavern

With the 24-hour Market open at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, property owners now are renovating space in the lobby for the SHOR Tavern. It’s a $751,790 project.

The city issued a permit July 30 for the renovation at 225 Coastline Drive E. The Tavern formerly was Currents Lounge.

The Hyatt and other Downtown riverfront buildings were flooded in September during Hurricane Irma. After initial renovations, the Hyatt lobby re-opened Feb. 14.

When the Market, a grab-and-go option also with a fast-casual menu, opened July 14, the hotel said lobby renovations continue this summer for the 150-seat SHOR Seafood Grill for daily breakfast, lunch and dinner and the 5,000-square-foot SHOR Tavern.
